Tim Rachbach & Friends
Come hang out with Tim Rachbach and his awesome crew for a fun, in-person event!
Tim Rachbach, a Tucson AZ native, began drumming at age 7 and developed a passion for jazz in middle school, joining the Tucson Jazz Institute. Tim performed with the TJi Ellington Band, and won major competitions, including the Essentially Ellington Competition, as well as touring Europe. He earned his BM from Manhattan School of Music in 2013, working with master drummers John Riley and Kendrick Scott, as well as exploring Indian and Brazilian music.
In New York City, he recorded albums as a side-man, hosted jam sessions, and released his debut, Under One Moon. He performed with the New York Youth Symphony Jazz Band at Dizzy’s Club and toured Brazil. Post-college, he attended prestigious jazz workshops Banff Workshop for Jazz & Creative Music in 2018 and Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead in 2019.
