PocketWatch

PocketWatch is a Los Angeles–based jazz ensemble led by pianist Gerry Bryant, known for blending accessible grooves with creative, inventive playing. The group’s music is described as catchy, funky, and full of musical interplay, with Bryant often adding fills and commentary while engaging with the other musicians.

Gerry Bryant is a Harvard-educated pianist and composer whose work spans the “Third Stream” genre — a fusion of classical and jazz traditions. His influences range from classical masters like Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff to jazz legends such as Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Keith Jarrett, and Ramsey Lewis. Bryant has recorded two albums with PocketWatch — one of original contemporary jazz and another of jazz standards — as well as multiple solo piano albums.
